Quality comes in writing

BIC had an essay writing contest. Over 5,000 essays submitted.  Copper Canyon 5th grade student from Mrs. Penoyers room was a runner up. Congratulations Kate Rudolph!!  To quote      BIC,  Kate's essay was creative and thoughtful.  We at CCES are very proud!!

Life is like a box of chocolates

Went to a United Parent Council (UPC) event at Explorer MS which show-cased a lot of vendors to support our students. Thank you PTA President Dona Whitney for joining me. And I won a prize in a drawing....A box of chocolate !!

DSMS Principal Clancy visits CCES

DSMS Principal Clancy visited our sixth graders going middle school next year to ease some nerves and answer questions.  I could sense their excitement about next year. Parents help us remind them their is still work to be done in sixth grade. Thank you Principal Clancy!!

Bully Assembly

NotMyKid has given three different bully prevention assemblies to CCES. One to our teachers, one to our 6th grade parents, and one to our 5th and 6th grade students. The one on Friday to the students was powerful an impactful. Talk with your children about what the took from the assembly.
